Islam views sports as a mean of enhancing mutual love, team spirit, a sense of belonging where one can lead by example through his dedication. The Messenger of Allah (saw), commands us saying: “Teach your children swimming, archery, and horseback riding.” This direct call to practice sports shows the great importance Islam places in sports.
Muslim Games is a unique experience for the BC Muslim Community. It is a result of collective effort of committed individuals dedicated to community service. The Organizing committee of Muslim Games welcomes each member of the community to be part of this unprecedented event; to get rewarded by Allah (SWT) and to share the memorable moments.
OUR OBJECTIVES:
- To promote cooperation between Muslims in particular the youth through sports
- To organize professional sports and community events
- To encourage cooperation and unity between local Muslim organizations through sports
- To develop athletic skills within the Muslim community
Insha Allah, this new project by Ajyal for Youth Development Society will bring the community closer together. We invite our community to participate in this project and be part of Western Canada first Muslim Games.
